"Inside Out and Upside Down on Main Street"

This summer, we turned lives Inside Out and Upside Down!

Jesus told lots of stories (parables) about everyday people in everyday situations.  But His stories were anything but ordinary—they turned lives inside out and upside down.  This year’s VBS included all of the fun activities of years past, including service. Funded in part by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, our service projects were:

For Trinity Lutheran on the Northside: First Aid Kits and “Birthday in a Box” - boxes filled with all of the items needed for a birthday celebration

For Meals on Wheels: Cross Suncatchers

For Soldiers serving overseas: Treat Boxes

For the East Liberty Soup Kitchen: Fleece Scarves

After spending a week on Main Street, our children know that Jesus makes a difference every day and they learned first-hand that they can too!

The 2012 VBS theme will be announced in February.  VBS dates are: July 23-27, 6:30 - 8:45 pm.
